After my annual checkup at the doctor, I feel very perky. I am comforted that there is no obvious fatal issue, he's fixed the minor ones and, the big one, I don't have to go back for a yeaar.
My car, Isweartoyou, felt the same kind of perky this morning. It cracked me up. Also, did I mention yesterday how clean it was? I don't know why I let it get that dirty. I need to stop that.
My swim was very excellent this morning. I wore my alternate suit and for some reason a seam under my arm started rubbing a hole into my side. Finally, with only about five more laps to go, I just took the strap off my shoulder and swam with my boob hanging out. It felt much better and made me giggle. You couldn't tell unless you were under water with unfogged goggles starring as I went by. But, still I giggled.
I read in People magazine that Dennis Quaid had published an album of christian hymns. ??? I love me a good hymn so I added it to my swim playlist. If you have ever been in a church with the congregation singing hymns you have heard that one singer who confidently sings off key and without any musicality. That's Dennis. It's almost hilarious. I mean you really do wonder if he did it for a joke.
So today I need to spend some time on my swim playlist. It needs new/better and a massive purge.
Tonight I have a press club Mariner game. I'm a little nervous about it. The Mariners have a 6 game winning streak going. It cannot possibly go 7 but wouldn't it be wonderful if it did? But, yes, they will likely lose tonight. Sad face. But, good food.
I'm finishing up the Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. And crocheting hats and scarves. I have so much yarn and no real inspirational project so I figured I'll make hats and scarves to donate this winter until something more interesting comes along.
But first I need a shower. And maybe today would be a good day to do some laundry.

Date: 2023-08-09 04:46 pm (UTC)That was my whole family. My dad liked to sing everything as if he was Bob Dylan, and as my grandpa used to say about my mom, "She couldn't carry a tune in two buckets." My sisters and I were terrified about what would come out of our lungs, so we just whispered and whimpered our hymns.
