Running late

susandennisLast night's game was pretty wild. For the first 3/4ths, it was 1-1 and both teams fucked up right and left. And then the Mariners got their shit together and beat them (San Diego).
Before the game, I sat at the bar and chatted with the three bar tenders (all of whom are favs) and my seat neighbor, Ray. Ray says he's probably not going to re-up. The price hike on the tickets is part of it but his moving back to California is the real reason. No my sales guy is going to have to find another single for both 20 game packages. He was there last night (my sales guy) but we didn't chat.
The game ran kind of long and I got to sleep kind of late so I slept in much to Biggie's dismay. He tried to convince me it was wake up time, several times.
I had thought maybe I'd skip the swim today but when I got up it, I figured what the heck and went anyway. It was a little more crowded than my usual time but not that much and I got in all my laps with ease.
There's a Seahawks something going on at the stadium tonight. They are girding their football loins. Signs up, barriers up, portapotties in place, areas cordoned off. And so it begins. Football shenanigans.
But, it doesn't matter to me today. I was going to take the car and run some errands but then I decided it was a perfect day for Uwajimaya - the Japanese grocery/deli across the way. I can get meals for today and tomorrow.
There is no baseball game tonight but there is entertainment. The condo meeting will be via zoom and tell us how much the next gynormous bill for building fixes will be.
And, speaking of bills... After waiting and waiting, I finally got a final bill from the lawyer who did my death papers. I got it on August 2. I paid it on August 2. My credit card shows the payment was made on August 2. Yesterday, August 8, I got the same bill but this time via snail mail with a big old sticker across the top that read "Please note that your account is overdue and accruing interest." WTF???? A week after the bill and I'm getting dunning letters??? Even after I paid it??? I am more than delighted to have new death papers done and have these people in my rear view.
I need to get dressed and get going. When you sleep late, your morning is shorter. Remember, you heard it here first.
