A different kind of late

susandennisYesterday I was behind because I slept late. Today I got up earlier than usual and am still behind, but this time it's because I fell into that internet rabbit hole. Not good reason. Just some mornings are like that.
The HOA meeting last night was mostly boring but some key info bits came out. 1. The scope of work has expanded to cover other issues (I approve - get it now rather than have to go back later). 2. It will be 6 months probably before my deck is fully repaired and turned back over to me. and 3. My share of the bill for all of the work is $20,000. Sounds like the money will be due sometime in October. I do kind of feel like the project is reasonable and is being reasonably handled. So at least my $20k won't be going down the drain.
I sent a note last night to my finance guy telling him how much I need moved to my checking account.I got an automated reply that he was out of the office (no return date) and a list of contacts for various things. One of them was his assistant. I sent her a copy of the note I sent him (although I'm pretty sure she reads his emails) and asked if I needed to take further action to get my $ by September 1. I think, if I remember correctly, he once told me she doesn't work on Fridays so likely I won't hear sit til Monday which, honestly, does not sit too well with me. They have control of a whole lot of my money are are pretty frisky with their availability. And, yes, I'm still pissed from when they completely ghosted me last year. So... we shall see.
I have zero plans for today. There is no laundry that needs doing. I have plenty to eat. No one is counting on me for nuthin. It's a totally free day.
But, turns out Biggie and Julio think it's time for a snack.
This was earlier. Biggie settled onto my lap for a rare snuggle. Julio was just torn. He wanted to be near Biggie but not near a person. Life is tough.
