Compromise

susandennisJulio vs the blinds continues. BUT I now have them 2/3rds down and he's given up for today so I'm kind of declaring victory. It makes the room instantly cooler so I can cut back on the a/c a little.
I went to the pool 30 minutes later this morning. My swim buddy was just leaving and the pool was empty. He said it had been packed til 15 minutes ago. So win! A couple of other people joined me but we each were able to have our own lane so fine. Also the road traffic seemed lighter by a fair amount. So I think I found my sweet spot of swim time.
It looks like tomorrow may be the last day of Africa hot. Then we probably will get a couple of weeks of normal hot and then smoke and then, finally, cool. Last year the smoke lasted til well into October. I'd rather it didn't do that this year.
I have a gouty toe. It's not horrible and I hope it gets better before horrible. Gout is a painful bitch. At least I have no reason to go anywhere so no need to put on any footwear that might be uncomfortable.
I have a couple of things around the house that I want to make happen today but nothing major or even major adjacent.
The baseball game is at 5 and I have plenty to amuse before then.
