Double Dippin'

susandennisTen days ago, I told my bank's bill pay to send the HOA $20K. The bill pay software said it would get there about last Wednesday. I've been checking the HOA website a couple of times a and nada. Thees are the people who double charged a few home owners with the last assessment - yep - yep they took more than $15K out of their bank accounts twice and then took more than two weeks of howling to fix it. So no direct bank account pull for you guys. I Do not trust them much even with a check written and sent by the bank.
BUT this morning my HOA account shows they finally cashed the check. And BECU hasn't caught up so this morning I've got the same $20K in both places. I'm rich!!
But, I can also quit worrying about getting that cash accounted for.
My back continues to give me grief. I tried several different solutions last night that Google said would work. Google's pants are on fire. I couldn't get to sleep and then slept very fitfully and uncomfortably and my back still hurt in the morning oh and Biggie bit me. My arm scared him. It wasn't a hard or vicious bite but it wasn't restful or sleep inducing either.
The pool was packed today. I didn't have to wait but did get the last available lane. The first couple of laps were really hard but then it was fine. Again, didn't fix my back but didn't make it worse so ok.
No new news on the washer delivery tomorrow. They say they will contact me tonight with a window. Of course, way back in July, I got a window for the first delivery but no delivery. I will believe it when I see the washer here. I'm still collecting dirty clothes.
I have a Press Club ticket to tonight's game which will be fun.
Yesterday, via Mastadon, I discovered a new to me knitting thing that is just delighting me. It's a moebius cowl pattern knit from the center of the strip out continuously. It's nearly impossible to explain but the technique is fascinating to knit. It's the very finest of nerd knitting. For any knitter readers here's the cast on that gives you an idea of the weirdness of it. The best instructions I found are in this PDF download but there are a dozen videos that explain.
Biggie seems to think there will be a breakfast 2.0. At least he's sitting next to his bowl staring at me. Guess I'll get up and go take a shower and maybe/probably give him breakfast 2.0.
