MUCH better
Aug. 31st, 2023 11:10 amOk. Thanks to my brother - the electrical fix as well as maybe the crooked fix have been ordered from Amazon. He'll fix when he gets here next week.
The technical is fixed by moi.
Lemme just say. If you are looking to hire programmers - especially phone app and/or network attach programmers and you see GE on someone's resume... dig DEEP. Way DEEP. Whoever coded this shit is just plain nuts and incompetent.
Basically, I got it all working mostly by accident. Which is stupid. The main deal is just getting the machine connected to the phone and connected to wifi. Neither connection was straightforward or easy. Both have now been made.
BUT the machine doesn't like my detergent. (Amazon generic HE) I need to go get some regular Tide or something. I cannot even see the list now because it's in washing mode.
EDIT: This is wrong. It's fine with my detergent, the software is just slow to respond. I think.

It's a small load and now not washing with soap. Guess I need to go to the store. It's ok, I have some returns and could use some bananas.
Ok, I forgot to post and now I'm back from the store.
And I got a voice mail from someone at Home Depot looking to schedule my install. I thought - whacky! And then I remembered. The guy from last night didn't want to install it with the extension cord so he said "I'll mark it as uninstalled cause you need the electrician then, you can have them come install the pedestal as your install!" This was before we voted against the pedestal.
BUT now this means I can get them to come put it on the appliance slider board and position it correctly!!
EDIT - that's exactly it! Thanks to that clever install guy, I get two installs. The next one is now scheduled for Saturday. The appliance moving board comes tomorrow so I'll be all set. I tipped the guys last night particularly well and was a little annoyed with me after I did that BUT now I am very happy with me.
I got a piece of pizza at Amazon so now I'm eating lunch before I do my next laundry load.
I think I'll do that now.
