I love my new washing machine. So much. It's now washing my swim suit. It has a special swimwear setting so I'm trying that out but after I hit start, I studied the manual and I can't find one single difference between the setting for swimwear and the setting for normal. Oh well. I want the suit dried anyway because I need to do some sewing on it. And running it through the whole cycle once won't hurt it.

Plus, I'm running out of stuff to wash.

On the up side, my brother arrives tomorrow so we will have two people dirtying up stuff to wash! ha

I got a text that he is all checked in with the airlines. Nice. His chore list is very short but our list of todo's - go here, do that - is pretty meaty for this trip.

The pool was packed with a line waiting this morning. No diddliers, just swimmers. On a lot of days, some lanes have swimmers and then one lane has diddliers - walkers or just people hanging out kind of doing aqua fit or kind of doing not much of anything. Today it was all serious lap swimmers. One of the regulars got there after all the lanes were taken and he waiting about 5 mins. I decided I could donate my last four laps and let him have my lane. He was very nicely grateful. Nothing wrong with diddliers, by the way. People who love the water are all in the same family.

Today I have some sewing to do - a hem, some tucks and a fix to the swim suit. The ballgame is at 1. But, before the ballgame I am going yarn shopping. I want to make a cardigan if I can find some yarn that is nice to work with, looks lovely and does not require a mortgage to purchase. I'm going to the yarn shop in West Seattle that just moved to new digs. I am also taking all the hats and scarves I've made for them to donate. They don't open till 11. And it's not yet 10 so I have a while yet.

I watched TV yesterday via YouTube TV and wow. It is such a better experience than Fubo. 1000% better in nearly every way. Amazing.

I just saw on Mastodon that Seattle had only 6 days where the temperature got over 89 degrees this summer. That's low even for us and particularly for this summer. Wow. Today is gray and misty - perfect Seattle. 56 degrees. I love Seattle for many reasons but the weather is about the first four.

Yay for a new toy!
(and yeah, the difference between the different cycles isn't always that much, but it's still fun!)

We took your extra heat this summer. You can have it back.
