I got up this morning and got into my suit and headed off to the pool. Only to get there and discover it was closed. The really nice front desk lady said they got in this morning to discover the water was yellow on the way to green. She was sympathetically bummed and her attitude sure helped mine. I was not even annoyed. Whatever. I told her I'd call for an update tomorrow. I did not even consider going to the Ballard pool. I just came home.

It will be fixed and I'll go back when it is.

This morning, I sent an update of the latest happenings/ideas to Christian, the designer. I want him to come soon and look at my stuff and tell me the best plan for getting rid of it and start talking about the design of the new place. That's the next step.

I'm very excited about this move and am getting more so every day. But I'm also quite excited about getting rid of all this shit.

Two months ago I was firm in my belief that I would live here until I died. BUT always I have known that if I ever found a place like the last place my parents lived, I'd move in gratefully. I just didn't think there was any place like that around here and I didn't want to leave here. Once I found the place, the decision to leave here and move there was easy peasy.

Now, I am all in and rarin' to go. And so grateful that I can.

While I wait for Christian, I might go to Costco and pick up those prescriptions that have been ready for a week. Or I might do that tomorrow. The Mariners are playing a day game and the stadium, traffic and crowd, is between here and there. So, yeah, tomorrow will be fine.

Today I'll just watch the game and work on the sweater that I bought the yarn for yesterday.

Holy cow! You're moving to Issaquah!
Is it the Aegis Living place? And they have a pool, of course. Yay!

I'm excited for you, and it's perfect to have your brother's approval.

Gotta say, your posts are the most upbeat and optimistic on DW - thanks for being YOU! Also, your advanced level of responsible self-care is inspirational. Sounds like you'll really be happy at the new place!

Since I will be retiring in February 2025 and plan to move closer to my sister that year, I am following your progress to Issaquah with great interest. Looking for inspiration and rooting for you. You've inspired me to start critically eyeing my mounds of stuff right now instead of waiting until 2025.

Have you discussed the move with the kitties yet? 😉

Having your parents' example to follow does make the decision easier. [personal profile] jwg and I were certainly encouraged to make our move by the success of my parents' lives at Quadrangle (Haverford, PA).
