My financial adviser came through with the needed money transfer but the US Mail was a fail. To get onto the wait list, I need to write them a check for $40,000. I did not have a check with me when I signed the agreement so I wrote it as soon as I got home on Monday and put it into the mail.
Now it is Thursday and it's not there yet. So fuck it, I wrote another and am just going to drive it over this morning.
Bret, the realtor, sent me the specs for sale. He suggests pricing the condo at $620,000 which sounds about right to me.
There is an issue with timing. At least I think there might be. Timber Ridge will have an apartment come available. If I agree, I have about 90 days to pony up the full entrance fee (which is 80% returnable when I move out - dead or alive). The sale of the house will just about cover the entrance fee. BUT the house won't go on the market until I move. If it sells immediately, then no prob. BUT what if it takes months? I sent a note this morning to my financial adviser to ask if there was not some kind of short term loan I can get against my investments to cover.
I'm sure something will work out so I'm not going to worry about it.
I got a weird out of office message back from the financial adviser. Seems like he's been out of office now for months. I do not know what that is about. The dude is really turning into massive strange juice.
And speaking about $. Finally, after many many months, we got a note from SteveTheLawyer for my cousin's estate. He's now saying he may have things mostly wrapped up by the end of the month. However, last January, he said he'd have that done by July. So the only good news here is that he's not dead. Still racking up those billable hours. Still no accounting from him at all about where the estate proceeds stand. I am ready for the estate to be closed. But, I'm living in the it will happen when it happens camp.
Christian is coming by today at 4 to get me started down the Get Rid Of Shit trail.
After my trip to Issaquah this morning, I need to stop by the Amazon hub and drop off a bunch of returns and then on to Costco to get my picture taken for my new card and pick up my prescriptions.
Then home to stay. There is a Beyonce concert in the football stadium across the street tonight. I do not want to get caught in those throngs. So I want to get out and get done and get home.
So now I am going to go get into the shower and get dressed and get the fuck out of here.
(I'm guessing the pool is still closed so no swimming today but my breathing is so good right now and my back is totally healed from all the sore it had before and, honestly, I'm just a little bit shy about fucking with anything that might mess with either of those things. We'll see. But today, no swim.)
