I am done for the day. And learned a good bit and made excellent progress.

I had thought I'd fill up bags and haul them down to the dumpster but that turned out to be a much younger and fitter me that was going to do that and she totally bailed. So... I'm just filling up bags and stacking them.

See those big deep drawers and that boxy headboard? They were all full and now they are not. The stuff on the bed is "shit that shit goes into". I won't keep most of it but for now I'll hang onto it. That roller cart has more of the same - empty vessels.

That box there on the left and the blanket and clothes are all going with me but that's it from all the drawers and this closet.

The fabric in the shelves on the wall is voluminous. One shelf fills 3 bags. There are about 10 shelves. ARUGH.

Most of the stuff is very donatable. There are a couple of haulers who take stuff to Goodwill and one is even recommended by Goodwill so that's the plan. When that room gets full, I'll give 'em a call. I'm thinking 2, maybe 3 hauls will do it.

Christian has a woman who furnishes transitional houses. He's going to contact her and see if she wants some/all of the nicknacks/art/kitchen stuff. And what, of the furniture, she wants. So for now I'm just working on the crap. There's plenty enough to keep me busy.

One massive coughing fit which I should have been able to avoid or at least cut off before it got massive but live and learn. I'm excited about the progress. Even with about 90% left to go!

I need a shower. And some feet up time.

When I read that you were clearing out "hidden" places - I had to laugh. I remember one year in college, I lived in a single dorm room - and when it came to the end of the school year, I started packing. I started with "stuff that was hiding" - things under the bed, things in drawers, things in the wardrobe. And ended up filling up like a *surprising* number of boxes - and my room still looked EXACTLY the same because everything I had packed away - had been hidden anyway!

I'm excited to follow along on your new adventures and how you get there!
