No day of rest here!
Sep. 17th, 2023 07:09 amWell, maybe a little. Today is bedroom day. There is one closet that is just Shelves of Shit. But, I've been good about keeping it culled so it's not mindless shit, it's shit that will be full of decisions - keep or go.
Once I get it done, if I have energy left, I'll do more fabric - put into bags and into the sewing room. But that's it for today. I'm going to hold off starting on the living room until tomorrow.
Tuesday, I go out to Timber Ridge and I think Wednesday, I'm going to have the haulers take the first batch. I need feel real progress and living in bags o' donations ain't doin' it for me plus I need the room for more bags.
I am fine living minimally but I can't stand the idea of living here with white walls so I think I'm going to hold off painting til I move out or just before.
Last night, hours after packing up all my sewing stuff, I came across a job for the machine. But, I dug out a needle and thread and did it by hand and it was fine. I can do this.
Meanwhile, after culling and bagging, I sit down with knitting. I'm knitting a cardigan using the perfect pattern of enough detail to be interesting but enough stretches of easy to remember knitting. It's a great project for right now and one I might really wear when done!
Baseball is at 1. It's still really early here but I think I'm going to get started so I can get done.
