Moving everything

susandennisI spent yesterday afternoon and some this morning moving money. The rest of the day will be moving stuff. All in prep for moving me!
I've bot big bucks floating around waiting to be put into service. I liquidated the investments that I received last year from my cousin's estate. That money should hit my accounts by the end of the week but then, temporarily, will exceed the FDIC insurance coverage. Ooops. So I had to open another money market account in my backup bank to make a home for that money while it waits to be put into service.
And while doing all of that, I got to second guessing myself on how I was going to make all this happen. So I enlisted the help of Scott, my friend in New Zealand. He's a financial planner and while he doesn't, of course, now us tax laws but he's got a great feel for the rest AND he knows me AND, most importantly, he'll tell me the straight poop. I feel better knowing someone else is looking at all this.
I have good options, I'm just not clear on the best ones to use. And I'd rather not do something stupid.
Today it's back to organizing and tossing. First up, gather all the boxes and bins into one spot. Then it's back to clustering the items set to move and clustering the items set to be donated or tossed. I still have furniture to empty out as well.
So time now to get down and get dirty!
