One of my few books fell off a shelf I was clearing and banged my shin. Then I felt wet and looked and I was bleeding all over the place. I had a handy toilet roll to stop the immediate flow but... I packed the bandaids days ago and have absolutely no idea where. There aren't even that many options and still I could not find them anywhere.

I ordered more from Amazon. At least that will ensure that 1. the others turn up immediately or 2. I won't need one until after I move. But, geeze what a stupid fail.

My mom's rule of moving, always have a box of bandaids on hand for the move, and especially when you arrive at your new place, because it takes a while to get used to where everything is, and you're bound to walk into things before you get settled.

Also, to your comment below. Keep taking those "smoke" breaks, otherwise you'll have to go right past Ethel's apartment and right into assisted living. Glad to see you're pacing yourself.

THIS IS SO TRUE!!! The night we moved in here I didn't know my way around in the dark and I walked straight into the canopy bed! I got the worst black eye EVAH...and I had to take the kids to school for their first day and meet the neighbors and you can't make this stuff up!

I've been watching with mixed feelings. On the one hand I'd love to haul for you. Easy to rent a one hour truck or van and cart stuff off to goodwill. Alternately it is nice to not have any temptation at all to acquire a box of your paperclip collection or whatever else that would end up sticking to my fingers.

Sorry I'm not around to run a bandaid over. Glad Amazon is.

I was thinking about that and yes, heaven to have a rent/haul guy on hand AND someone to mock me out of taking all these breaks. But, really, I'm plugging along. I'm into the tech stuff today and it's really really really hard.I'm trying to to let anything stick to my fingers!

I feel you on that! When I was in my early twenties, I had a similar injury involving my big toe, the edge of my desk, and my wheelchair's sensitive movement. I can still remember the pain
