At one point last night, I lost $40,000. I thought I'd transferred it to another account AND ALSO wrote a check against it that would now bounce.

After 30 minutes of sheer panic, I looked again and nope. All the pennies were where they should be. But, I knew that it was time to crash. And so I took my fried brain to bed and slept like a rock.

This morning I got up to the scene as it was when I got the news yesterday. I was in the middle of going through all the stuff that I dearly want to hang on to for no good reason. The Tech and Office Supplies. It's so hard. And now that I know exactly what floor plan I am moving into, I need to go back and move some stuff from the save to the scrap pile. :(

I am so looking forward to living with less stuff. It's amazing how freeing it feels but when it comes down to file folders and post its, I'm suffering from OneMoreWon'tHurt syndrome. I don't think it's fatal but it is hard. So hard.

One thing that is helping is that when I was at Timber Ridge on Tuesday, I got a good look at the garbage system. You have a shoot for garbage and a shoot for recycling. If it does not fit into one of those shoots, it's a problem. Now, that's how decisions are getting made. If I take this and then decide I don't want it, will it fit into the shoot? Ok, then it can go. If not, it's a nope.

Today, I need to finish the tech. Actually, I need to finish the living room. That's the goal.

I did spend some time last night re-going over the Timber Ridge marketing stuff. The stuff I glossed over originally. And found more good stuff. I'm wondering, for instance, if maybe I want to change doctors - move to one there in Issaquah. I'm sure I want to change eye doctors. etc. And I spent some time googling around the other day. Last night I read that they will not only help me identify good prospects in medical fields of all kinds, they will set everything up for me if I want.

Oh and, do NOT tell You Know Who and You Know Who BUt.. once a month, a cat groomer comes to clip nails!!

There is no baseball today.

I think I'll get some breakfast and then get to work.

Isn't it good to have clarification on specifics now? So you know the approximate size of the trash chute, so you can make more decisions.

It really is amazing to declutter. I've been doing it for years but certainly not on the scale you're doing right now. But you are right, it is a very freeing feeling. Possessions tend to own us, not the other way around.

I see the facility has a health center. Do they offer checkups and stuff like that, or offer prescriptions if you get an infection?

Whoa! They have a monthly cat grooming service - so awesome!

Good luck with today's cleanout project.

How about responsibly getting rid of every bit of your office supplies? Then, at some point after you've moved you will get to shop for all new office supplies. Imagine the joy of that? Totally worth it.

Also, and this may go without saying, please consider doing your own due diligence on the suggested health professionals as well. Yes, I'm as paranoid as they come, but I worry that mediocre professionals may have some kickback situations set up there.

Since you mentioned tech....

Do they have digital tech assistance on site? Visiting regularly? Are internet connections laid on as part of the utility setup?

It strikes me that this would be really useful, and might be as popular as the dastardly groomer of innocent felines.
