a cheese straw break

susandennisMy brother brought me a giant bag of homemade cheese straws - made to perfection, I might add. I put them in the freezer. Now I am using them for packing breaks.
As soon as this shelf is clear, I will get a cheese straw.
After my next trip to the dumpster, I will get a cheese straw.
It's wonderful.

Now it is lunch time - after lunch, actually. I have made good progress but I am running out of steam.
I have gotten through all the tech and office stuff. It is so so so hard to throw away post it notes. I found some IBM ones. I left IBM in 1994. I found a stack of old library cards - CT, MN, CA and NC and a bunch of old drivers licenses. I tossed 'em all. I also found some mag cards, a floppy disk (one that is actually floppy 5.25") and my slide rule from high school. They are coming with me.
I was a little discouraged when I sat down to lunch, with how much I hadn't done yet. And then I had a come to jesus with the calendar.
I have tickets to game 4 of the world series if it is played here. And that is on October 31 so I can't move before then anyway. BUT, if the Mariners don't make it that far - which I cannot believe they will anyway - I have a ticket to a Brandy Clark concert on October 29. If the mariners totally fail and are out by early October, then maybe I could pass on Brandy (and, yes, I could drive to Seattle from Issaquah for it but I can tell you now, that ain't happenin'),
The reality is that I am likely going to have my bed and toothbrush here for another 5 weeks at least so I think I can maybe take my foot off the accelerator or at least ease back a bit. I think I'll finish the one remaining drawer in the big cabinet and make one more dumpster trip, tidy up and take the rest of the day off.
