Progress!!

I am getting there. I can see the end and it is very doable. The hall shelves, except the one kitchen section, are done. The living room furniture is emptied with one exception. There is blanket storage under the purple couch and I may just leave it there until I leave or the couch does.

I have two shelving units with those cloth pull out boxes. One, in the bedroom, houses my folding clothes - underwear, shorts, etc. And one, in the living room, houses the stuff by my chair and electronics charging.

It dawned on me last night there there is no need to touch any of this. Come moving time, I'll just pull out the cloth boxes, as is, stack 'em, move 'em and toss 'em when done. VERY handy.

Most of the kitchen will be tossed. Not most but maybe half.

The place looks like a mess but that is because there is nothing left inside drawers or doors.

BUT, I am very close to my goal of being able to have the haulers in, for instance, and tell them, take everything except the bedroom closets and the bed. Once I get there, I'll be done.

I built a public folder and started a document for the new owners. Manuals, Tips. Where the remotes are. Etc.

And a Lasts Things list for me.

Now I need to go take a shower and get dressed and hit the road.

Somehow I feel sad that you are getting rid of all that lovely furniture. Love that purple couch. But I expect you and Christian will come up with something fantastic and more appropriately sized for your smaller living room.

Are you also leaving behind that new washer/dryer??

Great idea to leave behind instructions and manuals for the new custodians of the condo.

$400 a month that does not rollover. Most of their meals, which appear to be 2 meals for me, seem to be in the $14 range.

Ah, that makes sense. Our place defaults to one meal per day per person, and you can change it to 20 meals per month for a somewhat reduced rate (but you have to do it at the beginning of a quarter). We did go down to the 20-meal plans as soon as we could, and I expect it's going to be a long while before we start using anywhere near that many (we like to cook our own meals, and also the restaurants all close earlier than we like to eat).

I vaguely recall that at some point when we were still in the info-gathering phase they said that they were planning to switch over to a dollar-value plan, but apparently they changed their minds.
