Done and a bonus

I finished the living room except for the things on Do Last list. So now, the only room left is the kitchen. Which as I said, will be easy. I may go ahead and do it or most of it just to get it off my mind.

Then I went to Goodwill. I wanted shirts and dishes. I got dishes. The shirt thing is an issue. Timber Ridge is heated for frail skinny old people who can't get warm. I am not frail or skinny and I'm plenty warm always, thank you. In my own apartment, I can make it meat locker cold, but once I step out into the hallway, it will be maybe not Africa hot but Pretty Darned Warm. So I need summer clothes all year round. And Summer clothes are gone for the year. Even at Goodwill.

But I came home and scored some Summer sales at Woman Within and I think I'm good for now.

As I was coming home, I got a few drops of rain on the windshield. By the time I got up here, it was really raining. Apparently the deck above me has been covered because while I can see daylight through the roof of my terrace, it's dry as a bone. Weird.

Next up is the Mariner game. They need to win. If they don't, I'll be moving sooner than I thought!

Oh a couple of people have asked. My current condo is 1244 square feet. The apartment I'm moving into is 726 square feet.

I see you'll lose the second bedroom, but I imagine you'll adapt by having less stuff. I have a list of questions because I'm nosy, but don't want to bombard you. Bottom line: EXITING!

- What do the dishes look like?
- Is there somewhere nearby for your brother to stay?
- Can you continue stalking your neighbors? It looks like you can see the units in another wing from your balcony.
- Are there shops (like the Japanese market) within walking distance, or will you be using your car more often?
- How do you feel about having more windows? That's going to be a big change in your bedroom.

I'd take you a picture of the dishes but they are packed away already. I got all different ones - different sizes, different styles, about a dozen, total.

There is a guest room right down the hall.

I am for sure taking my binoculars. I can see into a couple of units but, also, my window overlooks the dog park and a little outdoor pavilion. Plenty to satiate my voyeurism!

There is nothing within walking distance BUT there is far more shopping easily accessible by car than even here. So yeah maybe, but maybe not. I won't need food. And I don't have room for stuff. It will be interesting to see how much I use my car. Its parking space is in a covered garage, easily accessible from my apartment by elevator. (Way easier than here)

I did make sure to get a unit with ZERO direct sunlight. It is bright enough when the sun is out. I'm actually quite excited about having a window in the bedroom!

Ah, so a definite decrease in square footage. You are good at organizing so I'm sure you will fit everything in just fine.

I still keep a bird net around to catch Julio in an emergency or to catch to take to the vet or for the move. I am sure he will be hiding for a few days after the move while Biggie will probably come out after just one day hiding and getting use to a new apartment.

I don't remember offhand what the Brooksby hallways are like in the winter (which probably means that they're not excessive in either direction), but I've noticed when we've been there this summer that they're distinctly chilly.
