I had another bad sleeping night but no big deal really. I've got nothing going on today so if I get sleepy, the fix will be easy.
Yesterday was maybe the last Seahawks home game I'll have in this condo. It wasn't horrible. I did make one of my 4,873 trips to the dumpster as the game let out. Two of the fans coming home held up the dumpster lid which made dumping so much easier so I was instantly fine with the whole game!
And, speaking of garbage. The cats may enjoy a return to Fancy Feast when we get to Issaquah. I still hate those stupid cans BUT 75% of the hate is garbage. They create so much smelly garbage. In the new apartment, it will be very easy to drop off the garbage every day. There's a shoot two doors down. So it will be gone before it smells. Fancy Feast is no trouble to find anywhere. So maybe.
Yesterday I got into papers. From file cabinets to file cabinet to two plastic bins, I've winnowed down the paper over the years. Now, all that was left was tax returns and keepsakes. I kept four of the actual returns (tossing the backup stuff) and the fifth one is last year's and it's online. And precious little else. I tossed my parents' marriage license and my college diploma and my cousin's driver's license. And about 5 pounds of other OhYouShouldKeepThat shit. All gone. I kept the cache of N95 masks in their plastic wrappers and some molded respirator masks. I hope I never need any of them. But, I have them if I do.
I have about 2 more dumpster trips to make and those are from the kitchen. I'll probably finish that off today just to get it behind me.
I fell on a perfectly delightful TV series last night on Paramont+ Why Women Kill. There are two 10 episode series and, apparently, it was killed (hahaha) just before the third season. It may go to shit but the first episode was really wonderful.
And then, I had just started a new Joy Ellis book that was really good when
solteronita convinced me to put it back on the shelf for now and start Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. So far it's amazing - great fun with wonderful writing. I would have never found it/picked it on my own so I'm really grateful for the tip.
Google will officially offer up its next Pixel phone for preorder next week. But, even bigger news is that I am not going to buy it. For the last lotta years, I've bought the latest Pixel the minute it was announced but this year, I'm just not into it. I've got other fish frying. I'm a little more worried about my carrier and whether I'll be able to get decent reception up there in the hills around Timber Ridge.
We're supposed to get a ton of rain today and tomorrow. It will be good to get everything a good wash.

Date: 2023-10-04 12:59 am (UTC)The hilarious answer was that Kala, in particular, hated seafood-only flavors. Chicken-with-seafood was tolerable, chicken was better, straight seafood was SO SO GROSS. The Fancy Feast salmon-with-shrimp canned, she tried to BURY (sadly for her, the carpet did not dig up well). I laughed so hard.
