Lists and lists and lists
Sep. 26th, 2023 08:31 amNow that I have everything pretty much as moved as I can get it for now, I'm on to lists. Last minute things, things to measure, things to shop for, things to remember, etc. I have alotto things juggling in my brain.
One thing today is finding a Verizon MVNO with esim. Timber Ridge is nestled in the trees beside large hills next to almost mountains. Lovely BUT beyond dicey for cellphone reception. Inside my apartment, I'm not so worried. I'll have wifi so no mostly no biggie. BUT what if wifi goes down? Also outside of the apartment, I'm going to be dependent on Google maps for a long time and so I need the best possible cell service.
My current service is with MintMobile which is an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator - meaning they buy their service from other network providers) of T-Mobile. I want to test a Verizon MVNO. I can swap out sim cards but I have an esim slot so I can also just load in another network and test easily.
The internet and tv at Timber Ridge is Xfinity. And, I suspect, I'll be signing up to get more than the basic offering. Xfinity is a Verizon MVNO. So if Verizon gets better cell reception, I'll likely be switching or adding (Xfinity does do esim).
Those are the kind of mental gymnastics going on around here so far today.
Tonight I have my second to last regular season Press Club game. And, if the Mariners continue their losing streak it will be my second to last Press Club game ever. I won't be leaving here until after 4:30. So I have the day to do whatever. And that's probably what I'll do!
