And...

The moving manager lady is coming to see me next Wednesday afternoon. I hate that I have to wait that long. And there's a chance that I might have a playoff game that night but no sense in worry about that now.

One other big Christian contribution... we were talking at lunch about selling this place - more specifically about getting it ready for sale. I told Christian that I was really not clear on exactly that Bret (realtor) wanted but I suspect paint and probably carpet cleaning and a good whole house cleaning. And I would dearly love for my participation to be limited to writing the check.

He said ok. I'll get with Bret and we'll figure out what needs to happen and make it so. woohoo!!! This is big. Real big.

He already sent the TR Needs To Do This list and already Jill said the painter is available next week!

I downloaded the manual for the stove in the apartment and it's kinda fancy! It has a 'no pre-heat' air fryer built right in! I'll miss my induction stove top but not that much.

The very nice community coordinator lady at TR asked me for a picture and bio and give me giant 'outs' for both if I did not want to participate but heck. Ok. She gave me a fist full of samples from other inmates to go by which was nice. I did mine, took a photo and sent it in.

I am moving to Timber Ridge after having lived in Pioneer Square, Seattle for more than 30 years. I grew up in western North Carolina but moved all around the country as a corporate communications specialist with IBM. When I got to Seattle, I fell in love with the place and just never left. I began a second career in 1994 as a web site producer and worked for big companies and small until I retired in 2012. I'm a rabid Mariners fan. No husband, no kids, 2 cats.

Time for news and then baseball.

Bumps in the road are just smoothing themselves out!

How fun that they are going to "introduce" you to the community!

But -wait - does your gmail have 3 n's in dennis?

I didn't realize you'd been in this place for 30 years? Or did you live in another place but still in Pioneer Square, before this place?

That's 5 years and a couple of months before I bought this place. There are times when I feel like you are me plus 5-10 years. Thanks for being a role model.;-)

I'm still ready to ask questions as they arise. Right now, though, I'm having a lot of fun following your progress. The boys are going to wonder where they'll take naps when their sewing room closet is gone.

I think I saw that you might move before they have finished revamping your place. I think it better if you wait. It will be disruptive to you to have them doing work while you are living there and it makes it harder for the workers.

OOhh, I am so glad you have Christian helping out with getting things figured out for the sale. It can be so overwhelming, so having someone else there to help with a lot of the tedium is awesome and so smart.

LOVE those glasses!!! Fabulous!

Oh my GOSH. Catching my breath here, I had basically fallen off reading DW entirely because so busy here lately...and I come back to check on things and see this post, and of course had to go straight to the Issaquah tag to get the deets. I was thinking it feels very rushed, and then thinking DUH, of course it does, *I* just read it in an hour, but that's not how it *happened*. LOL

So excited for you, though. It sounds like it's a great step for you and I hope you love it even more than you expect to. :)

They are not! Ian is in sixth grade this year - Andrew is a freshman in high school. Where does the time go?? We are doing fairly well, lots of routine medical appointments this time of year but, key word, at least they are routine. :)

We had to have Ray put down this week, though - stomach cancer. Palliative care until he was sick enough it wasn't a kindness any more. (But, his IBD meant he got only z/d chicken-flavored food. He really wanted more. So before we had him put down, he got to eat chicken-and-shrimp and tuna churu back to back. He was still well enough to want to and enjoy it, just super weak.)

The kittens are fine, healthy, and chaotic. (They're also over a year old, but if they act like kittens I'm going to call them kittens!)
