Last night, the Mariners were losing 2-1. Bottom of the 9th. Bases loaded - no outs. Then one out. Then two outs. Bases still loaded. JP Crawford has been with the team now about 5 years but only this year has come into his own - getting on base all the time, hitting home runs, being such a joy to watch play and such a team leader. He, of course, comes to bat and hits a ground rule double to win the freakin' game.

The Mariners' chances of making it to post season now are between slim and NFW but last night's game was just a wonderful way to remember the Summer of baseball.

Today will be the Friday of Organizing. I will get this shit tagged. Today. I will.

I also should get the cost estimate on the painting of the new apartment. Christian thinks they are going to charge an arm and a leg. They are using expensive paint and he says they need two coats. Whatever he says goes but I hope it's a single limb charge.

I have a lot to do today so I'd better get on it now.

When I got a quote from my house cleaner's husband on painting and patching my living room, dining room and hallways (no bedrooms) a few years ago, it was $3,000. My house is about 1450 square feet, not big. I looked at my walls and said, "They don't look THAT bad."

I am not looking forward to it, but I'm going to try painting my own walls and trims when I retire. Maybe.
