Ok, this is a little disconcerting...
Nov. 14th, 2002 05:00 pmFor those of your who do not have the sheet music, a recap:
My boss, Jodi, who I adore, got herself pregnant and went on maternative leave at the end of September even though I begged her not to. She is the Director of Corporate Communication. I am the Marketing Communication Manager. We're it. Oh, well, no, there is also a PR person but she's a contractor and lives and works in Austin, Texas. We are a small company.
Anyway. After she left to have the baby, we got a new head of marketing - Hank. Initially, it was clear that he would not be Jodi's boss and therefore not mine. Tonight I found out that Hank met with Jodi last week (at her house) and it sure smells like he's going to be her boss and therefore mine. I'm not sure how that's going to shake out.
What I'm most concerned about it moving my desk away from the chattering Twinkies. They are driving me nuts. I requested a move last week and today found out that it is likely I will get to move where I want (into the space next to IT which is the room with the engineers as opposed to the room with sales and marketing) and I will likely get to move early next week. YAHOO. This is much better news than the Hank news is disconcerting so this with the arrival of the new wig - see new userpic, it's an overall okdokey day.

Date: 2002-11-14 05:34 pm (UTC)The office manager when I showed her the new one argued with me about whether or not it was made of real hair. I had to show her the catalogue where right next to the $29 price tag, it says synthetic!
It is one of my greatest finds ever - wigs, I mean. Freedom. This past weekend at Jon and Page's, it was really cool to just roll out of bed, stick my hair on and go out to the living room to join them for coffee and paper. No bed hair for me!
Thanks!
