Referral Magic!
Jan. 6th, 2024 11:52 amMy leg has always been particularly hurty on Saturdays. Walking to and from the pool, volleyball and then sitting in a chair that is just a little off for my height during elbow coffee has been a really bad combo...
Until today!!! I'm just back from elbow coffee and I feel a little twinge in my shin but that is all. My hip and thigh are fine and my balance is good and the twinge is a little throbby but flexing the ankle is helping and it's really not that bad. Amazing. What a referral will do. And so glad I didn't get started on the orthopedic journey.
Volleyball was very excellent today. I have learned so much and it's even more fun to play when I have a little skill.
Elbow coffee was good. Everybody was back and it was lively conversation. Plus not having my leg ache was a huge bonus.
I have nothing on the calendar for the rest of the day. I think I might start another puzzle out in the elbow but maybe tomorrow. Maybe Monday. Tuesday is my annual lung doctor appointment* and Wednesday is Biggie's follow up urine test.
*Last Summer I had a rough time with my breathing right up until Labor Day. I was afraid swimming was aggravating my COPD or something else. It got better after Labor Day. Not great but better. Then I moved here on October 31 and it's been perfection. No issues at all. None. I can count on about two fingers the number of times I have been out of breath. The first couple of times at volleyball, I thought I should have used my inhaler but then never did and never thought about it again. It's the Timber Ridge Cure!
My appointment is to reup my long term lung drug which I might not even need any more but I'll keep taking depending on what she says. The appointment is a tele appointment - no need for her to listen to my lungs. Nothing to hear!
