Yesterday my leg was so much better and today it's not. Oh well. At least I have a fix in the works. It's not terrible but still.
I did get to the pool this morning and had a glorious swim. When I got on the elevator going home, a guy was getting off... he said Good Morning and then scrunched up his face and came out with Susan! I said Good Morning and Thank you - putting my hand where my name tag would have been. Then he said, as the doors closed, Well, I'm not used to seeing you dressed! I laughed so hard. And only then knew exactly who it was. It was John who comes to the pool with his wife in the mornings. She's not mobile much at all but maximizes the water's buoyancy and works hard at it. On my second time at the pool, she said "well, if you are going to be a regular, I guess we'd better introduce ourselves." I'll bet they are just fun to be around.
After my swim, I got dressed and went down to the library to read newspapers until brunch time. The eggs benedict were meh because the hollandaise sauce was weird. The last time I had their hollandaise it was fab. This time it was just weird. Like almost sweet. But the eggs were poached perfectly and the hash browns were perfection. So a win.
No big plans for today. Knitting and TV and elbow walks. Just now, I'm hooked on a British cop procedural on Acorn - Suspects. So I expect there will be more dead bodies in my afternoon.
Everyone here at the cult is all a buzz about University of Washington's football team. They play a big game on Monday. I care nothing about football and about as much about the University of Washington. Three people today have asked 'are you going to watch the Udub game?' Clearly wanting to engage in an 'aren't they amazing' convo. Sorry Charlie. The Mariner's first Spring Training game is in 47 days. We'll talk then.
It's actually chilly here in my apartment which is weird. I usually have to work to get it not hot. I can't decide if I want to put on a sweater or turn on the heat.
