4 mins, 0 miles
Jan. 9th, 2024 09:11 amI had my annual lung doctor visit this morning. It was a televisit and so efficient. We chatted, we covered all we needed to. I got my prescriptions filled for another year. It took 4 minutes. Four Fucking Minutes. No driving, no parking, no waiting in the lounge area and then in the exam room. None of that. Just amazing and too cool for school.
Except, I thought it was at 10 am. Turns out it was at 8:40. I got back from volleyball at 8:25. Almost an ooops there! Biggie tried to horn in on the visit much to the amusement of the doctor. But, I just realized she sent the Spiriva prescription to the wrong place. Oh well. Thanks MyChart for the easy fix.
Volleyball was good this morning but I pissed off my bad leg and now it's in hurty mode. I'm so tired of this shit.
Today is house cleaning day. I hope. Last Tuesday was the house cleaning day that wasn't. The director of house cleaning came by last week with some sort of excuse. I explained that some notice - even an hour's worth - would be very helpful. I'm not at all sure she even understood me. So today, it will be another question mark until it is or it isn't. I feel like I've spent an enormous amount of time over the past few years waiting on, wondering where, being pissed about ... house cleaners. Ugh.
I need bread and eggs. And a maybe a throw pillow for the couch. I hope my leg is up for some errands.
There's an interesting phenomenon happening these days at the cult. Many (most?) got their fingernails manicured and painted for the holidays. But, few seem to understand that the paint/nail job does not last forever. There is a fair amount of conversation about the people who have yet to take down their tree or their Christmas lights. There is NO conversation about all the chipped nail polish and growth behind fake nails. I think there needs to be some strong guidelines. But, I'm new, so I'll wait until next year to start my campaign.
I have put a halt on spending. Or at least a major slow down (throw pillow for couch notwithstanding). I have, instead, started a list of stuff I want - when the condo sells. I'm way to used to buying when I want. It's an interesting exercise this list. It will be interesting to see how much of it is valid when the condo money lands.
Ok so the ibuprophen has now kicked in so I think I'll get off my giant ass and get dressed. Dr. Lung did ask me if I had lost any weight. I told her that I didn't know but doubted it. I did not tell her I was keeping the spare pounds in case I needed them. I find that doctors take obesity pretty seriously and don't appreciate fat humor. Their loss.
