My one sentence a day diary says that this time last year I was in the throws of having the air conditioning installed. It sure seems like way longer than a year ago. I do hope the new buyer enjoys it.

I hope to hear from the physical therapy people today. They said 1-2 days and today is day 3. My leg is definitely getting better but I'd say it's only 50% or less there. I'm shooting for 100%.

I shopped at Hobbi Lobby yesterday for the first time ever. I'm not proud. I find their politics offensive and hate giving them business. I didn't give them much. But, I did find exactly what I was looking for - a stiff-ish throw pillow for my back. I like the size and the stiff and I even like the print but the print clashes violently with a couple of other things that I need in the room. So I'll just knit/crochet a cover for it. It was about half the price of foam or stuffing so still a deal but also still I'm not proud. It was weird to hear flat out christian hymns on the muszak.

Today is laundry day and puzzle day. Cheryl is back from Christmas. I saw her car yesterday. I do not know if she wants to resume Wednesday dinners. I really hope not. Guess we'll see.

CES 2024 is in full swing. It's when all the tech people from around the globe get together to show off/see consumer electronics. Most of the places I used to get updates have dried up or are places I don't like (twitter/facebook) so this year, I think I'm going to just slap YouTube on the TV and follow the hashtag to get the gadget gossip.

We are supposed to see snow tomorrow and/or Friday. I cannot imagine a more funner day than sitting here knitting and watching the snow and gadget reports.

Now I think I'll go slather on some high test dry skin cream and get dressed.

I'm in Florida and that's how I think about Publix but sometimes there's no way around it.

I'm with you about Hobby Lobby. I don't shop there if I can help it, but of course, my mom ALWAYS wants to go. So. Where I live, it's Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or JoAnn's and that's it, and the Michael's near me has atrocious customer service. JoAnn's is a half hour drive, so sometimes Hobby Lobby is the only viable option. :P

I kind of feel generally hostile to Walmart – but there's one right next door, and it's basically the only such place within walking distance, so it does get some of my business from time to time. Hobby Lobby, if there were any around here, probably wouldn't make the cut, no matter how convenient.

When I walked into Hobby Lobby, (a deal I couldn't pass up), their music freaked me out. Shudder.
