drugged up and ready to go

susandennisI gave Biggie the drug that the vet gave me. They said to give it to him 2 hours before his next appointment. It's supposed to relieve his anxiety and make him calmer. It appears to be working. He was not happy when I pulled out the carrier but now he's lying next to me in a kind of fuckit idon'tcare mood which is perfect. He's watching Julio bat around a plastic cap he found.
We leave in an hour.
Today's volleyball was just ok. Keep in mind, ok volleyball is still pretty spectacular. Everyone was bitching about the temperature of the water and the air which was within 1 degree of what it always is but man do they love to bitch about being cold. Old people. Also I was distracted by how to word my made up excuse to Sylvia about why I couldn't go to lunch with her tomorrow. The real reason is that I don't wanna. Fortunately, she's going on a big trip in a week and that's all she's thinking about now "I have way too much to do." so she didn't really care. YEAH!!!
My shin/leg is still getting better. My plan is to go today, here what he has to say, follow his tips and tricks and then do the rest on my own.
I got an email last night from Julie in New Zealand. Among many other things she said they had just finished a great show "The Capture". I found it on Peacock and was very excited to watch only to discover that 1. She was correct - it was great and 2. I'd already seen it. Sigh. But, actually, Peacock has a better than decent 'if you like this, try these' so I found some other series I hadn't seen.
Last night was the end of my meal allowance for the month and I came out exactly at $0. I was proud. Today starts new.
Besides the vet and physical therapy, I also have to break up the puzzle in the elbow. And... maybe select a new one. There are several on the shelf yet that I haven't done. I need to investigate how puzzles circulate. Each elbow has some. Can one just take one from here and go pilfer one elsewhere? I need to find out.
This is on the floor of my closet. Biggie's new favorite spot when he gets over-Julio'd.
