susandennisI did not consider renting my unit because 1. I don't want to be a landlord but 2. more importantly, there's a cap on how many units in the building can be rented and that cap is reached and the waiting list is long.
BUT, the board has, in the past, made exceptions for residents to live in empty units during emergency repairs and... Bret is on the board so I'm thinking an exception is not going to be an issue.
Turns out Christian's damage was not horrible. He was home and able to mitigate "grab every vessel I could find". He's actually going to be in Issaquah on Wednesday and we're meeting for coffee. I told him to bring gossip and he said he would.
The heat in this building produces enough electricity to power an SUV I think. Everything I touch sparks. Maintenance people are all over the building today with guns - heat guns. They point it to an air vent to gauge the temperature of the air coming out. I saw them in one hallway with an old lady swearing the air coming out was cold. Two guns showed it was 82 degrees.
There are too many things on the dinner menu that look delicious so I think I'll do PB&J for lunch today.

Is the air very dry? I hate when I get zapped every time I touch something metal!
Would a humidifier help, if it is dry, I wonder?

LOL - I feel that - I swear the forced air blowing in my room in the morning is BITTERLY COLD - but it's *coming* from the furnace that is running hard!
