Yesterday morning, Myrna came in and asked if I liked music which is such a stupid question. I enjoy some music sometimes. Will I knock over old ladies to get to music? No. If I never heard music again would my life be over? No.

BUT, it was Myrna who is relentlessly kind and polite so I smiled and said Sure. It was her lead up to having a spare ticket to the Seattle Symphony afternoon pop concert. Her friend couldn't go and asked if she knew someone who might enjoy it. I really wanted my afternoon of Papa Murphy's and puzzles and TV but that seemed kind of stupid and selfish so I told her I'd love to go.

It was not my cuppa tea but it was an interesting experience with no downside. Timber Ridge buys up a block of actually very good seats and then hires a bus and then residents buy the package by the seat. The bus was big and almost impossible for several of the olds to get into. Steep curved steps. But they finally got everyone on board and off to Seattle we went in the driving rain. Downtown, where the symphony hall is, was clogged. It took us as long to get through downtown as it did to get there. But, we made it.

We had orchestra seats 15 rows from the stage. The conductor was female which was way more interesting that I expected. The program was John Williams' music from movies I've never seen. So... eh. The concert master did a violin solo that was beautiful and incredible to watch and hear. I'd have loved to have been able to hit repeat. All in, it was a lovely experience all round and free so ... nice! And the bus thing was fab. It parked 10 steps from the front door and was waiting there when we got out. Yeah traffic was a bitch but what the hell did I care? I couldn't even see it.

For the first time I can ever remember unless he was sick, Biggie ignored his treats this morning. They are still sitting there in his cup and he's cuddled up with Julio on the couch. He ate all of his breakfast and it included kibble so maybe he's crunched enough for this morning.

I think I might make a trip to Safeway today. I want some cereal and maybe some roast beef for sandwiches. That's the big plan for today.

Bret called yesterday. The clean up folks are done. The insurance adjuster comes Wednesday. He wanted to make sure I was ok with waiting until Wednesday to find out any $ info. Of course.

My cousin's friend, Sam, went to a lawyer to get help/information about what we could do to get the trust/estate lawyer to provide us with information since it's getting on to 6 months since the last contact. New Lawyer said he'd review and let get back to him next week. That was two weeks ago. Since then, crickets. I think we are for sure snake bit on this whole thing.

I vacillate between going to the state bar and filling out a form that requires a response and just doing nothing. I'm in nothing mode now. Yes, it's not fair and yes, he's cheating us, but I'm lazy. My current thought is to get New Lawyer til at least Feb before I do the state bar thing.

Stay tuned...

If I ever end up with some money worth making a will over, I'll remember to choose my lawyer wisely.

There are not a lot of women conductors.
I don't get roast beef at the Safeway deli anymore. No matter which Safeway I go to they always burn the hell out of it. Yuck. It's like trying to eat leather.

A bus to the symphony sounds like the best way to go.
