I went down to the pool yesterday after the staff had left for the day and there was a very nice note on the door explaining that the issue was, indeed, the balance of chemicals. And the pool would be closed until they got the balance right again. It does take days to get bromine back from ugh. Hopefully, they will get it fixed fast.
Meanwhile, Biggie missed the 'we can sleep in' memo. So I've been up for a while, had breakfast, internetted, and still, it's just now 7.
I got a wild hair the other day for some oatmeal for breakfast so that's what I got at Safeway yesterday. Just had it and it was delicious! I think we'll be on an oatmeal kick for a while. Simple, easy and delicious.
I was looking at the exercise classes offered to fill in while no pool. I tried one and it was struggling to get to the level of ok for me. The one I really want - balance and stretch - is at 1 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday which is probably the most inconvenient time for me. BUT also online is links to about 10 different videos of that same class! Another gift from the pandemic!! So I will give one of those a try this morning - on my own time in my own house before I even shower. The way god intended.
Then my next task is the King County Library. Seattle has an excellent library system. If you live in King County but not in Seattle, you can join the King County Library. I actually have a card but it doesn't do much since my address is Seattle. And I got it long before there was any online library so I have no pin to log in with. So I'll be starting with their chat. When they get in. There's an audio book I want that they have and Seattle does not, nor does Audible. So I have a goal. Worst case, I'll get in the car and go to the branch here which, inconveniently, does not open til noon on Tuesdays.
Joan and Myrna and I made good progress on The Puzzle From Hell yesterday. Myrna got snippy with Joan which was pretty hilarious since she is the least snippiest person on the planet. But Joan did tell me once that Myrna 'is very particular about puzzling'. hahahaha
Yesterday morning about 6:30, there was a tap tap tap noise coming from somewhere. I opened up my door to see if someone was knocking and Jim, across the hall, did the same. We agreed that we both heard it and it stopped. While puzzling, Joan mentioned that she'd heard it, too. And it had happened again after I left for the pool.
Well, then Ingrid came through the elbow on her way in or out and she was spitting bullets about the banging that woke her up. She said she was going to send a scathing email to Heather (the top executive at Timber Ridge). Honestly on any day, I'd hate to see Heather's inbox.
Also today is house cleaning day. I think I'll just puzzle instead of going out anywhere.
