susandennisI love the wiped up counters and vacuum lines in the carpet. And it's wonderful to have the cat paw tracks off the stacking tables. I like cleaning day.
Joan and Myrna and I puzzled a bunch today and made great progress. Myrna will not be shy about picking a puzzle next time. None of us love this one and I told her 'well, you only have you to blame but i'll bet you won't be so reticent next time!'
Getting the King County library set up turned out to be pretty slick. I got onto chat and discovered with the help of a librarian in Minnesota?! that my library card was so old it had been deleted. So I should go to the website and apply for a new one. You apply and get the card number which is valid for 60 days. They send you confirmation in the snail mail which is how they verify that you are eligible. I was worried I'd have to take a utility bill to the library to prove residency. I don't have a utility bill and my drivers license still has my Seattle address but I do have a valid voter registration at the correct address but I didn't even need it. All's good and the book I want is on hold.
My electric bill is in hiding. It generally comes out on the 21st. Today is the 23rd. No bill yet for January. It's annoying me. Also Xfinity gets auotpaid every month from my checking account - part of the el cheapo $19.99 deal. I got notice two days ago that the payment had been made. It still hasn't come out of my checking account. These things are fine and no big deal except they are driving my nit pickiness crazy.
There's a group of women who get together on Tuesday nights for drinks. I've been once and didn't love it. I was kind of invited tonight 'feel free to join us' but I think I'll pass. And I think I'll cook dinner up here and watch TV and knit.
