Red Sky in the Morning
Jan. 29th, 2024 07:32 amThe sky is not red but more a silvery peach. Lovely to look at but...
I burned breakfast twice this morning. I had two pieces of rye that were too long for the toaster so I put them in the toaster oven... they are still in there hoping the smoke will die down and the smell will disappear. Then I tried some bacon which I proceeded to melt into the plastic plate. Not my morning for breakfast.
I have an appointment at 9:45 this morning with the PT guy who is so annoying I cannot remember his name. I think it will be the last one. I have questions but mainly I think my leg nerve is healing on its own and PT isn't necessary.
It needs swimming.
Yesterday, while I was working on a puzzle, a woman stopped by to chat. She said that they have this problem with the pool at least once a year. I'm not at all sure I believe her. I plan to ask the next volleyball team member I run into. But, if she's right, then there is obviously hope for the future since they clearly get it back on line eventually. I sure hope eventually is on the calendar for this week!
The menu this week is easy peasy. The buffet line looks good all week. This means no pre anything. Whenever I feel like dinner, I'll just go down and go through the line. When the buffet line isn't appealing then I have to order ahead for pick up or make it myself up here but the big drag is deciding! No deciding this week. Also I discovered that the chicken caesar salad on the lunch menu looks way better than I thought it would and is two-meal huge. It's a lunch staple like taco salad which I'm kind of tired of so I'm glad to have another good lunch option.
Tonight is the HOA meeting for the condo. I'll zoom in to see what's up. The Annoying Building Manager sent many emails last week - broken elevators, fire alarms... Every one of his emails now reminds me vividly how grateful I am to be here and how grateful I am that I was not smart and didn't wait so that my decision would be more financially sound. I really love this place. But I also am so so so very glad to be out of that one.
After my pt appointment, I have no plans. Puzzling, knitting, you know... the usual.
