Maybe Tomorrow!! Maybe
Jan. 29th, 2024 10:59 amMy physical therapy session was way better. I told him I wanted to be able to sit crosslegged again without hurting my leg. I thought it was getting enough better that it didn't need him maybe so I was going to make an appointment in a month and see then. I wanted to know things I could and could not do to make it better and keep it better. He did listen and then he proceeded to work on the nerve so that, at the time, it felt GREAT when he stopped and it hurts like the devil now but it's a new/different hurt so maybe short term.
I made an appointment for the end of February and I have exercises to do. I'm feeling better about the whole experience. He did not mention Texas.
Then I went around to the pool. Erica, the head of fitness talks way too much. If they answer requires 10 words she will give you 300 before you even hear a comma. BUT she's kind and she's nice and she's ok.
And she said maybe tomorrow. Maybe even in time for volleyball!!! Then, when I was leaving, I ran into the maintenance people who are working on the pool. They were coming in. And recognized me. "We all on the same page as far as the goal is concerned, right???" They said "Right... We're hoping for tomorrow!"
Erica was talking about how information gets shared and she really points out this place is a petri dish for the game of telephone. Between the general foibles of the game, here you have to factor in hearing aids turned off, brains that take a bit longer to tabulate and a rabid desire to know everyone's business. We could old the telephone Olympics. Messages here last one maybe two people in tact on a good day.
Biggie has gotten so weird when I come back from someplace. He's cool if I go pick up dinner and he's totally fine for swimming or even 2 hours of volleyball. But, otherwise, if I'm gone for more than an hour, he's on the island meowing like crazy when I walk in the door. It's so weird. And then he has to have my total attention before I do another thing.
Now he's calmed down but also sitting on my knitting. So weird.
