Maybe one more elbow coffee - we'll see

The Elbow Coffee conversation is just not how I want to spend any time. Yes, everything costs more. I am not at all offended by $99 to get your tires rotated. I don't watch, listen or read much news because I'm not interested in misdemeanors or most local felonies. Yes, people are thoughtless (just look at the people in this circle! No thoughts being wasted or even used here).

And Ingrid did not disappoint. She cannot fall asleep except between 5 and 7 am. THREE times recently, people have made noise that wakes her up at between 6 and 6:30. And she went to a lecture yesterday where the expert said sleep was vital to health. So her health is being ruined.

Of course, not as ruined as it would be if I had my way.

I managed to keep my mouth shut most of the time but I think my tongue is now a sieve. They are all nice people but they cannot maintain a conversation that is not stupid. I do not need to be a part of that.

Myrna came by just now to report big news and I told her I was thinking about not going any more and she agreed with me 100%. "It's why I never open my mouth." I was so glad to hear at least it wasn't just me. I told her that I might go one more time and when the conversation hit the skids, I'd just excuse myself. We'll see come next Saturday.

BUT, the reason she came by was she had just been down to pick up her lunch and saw a sign that she thought I might not see. "They are having a meeting about the pool tomorrow at 4." Cool! info! Odd time, but cool!

So, after she left, I went down to see for myself.



This looks very much like a poolside bitch session being called by some cult inmates.

But, I'll go. If only to see who the other swimmers are.

Now I think I'll watch some TV and knit.

I would not be able to stand listening to those people. I'll probably have to die alone in some ratty little apartment - because if Pat goes before me - I am not living with old people. I may be old, but I can still carry on a conversation that isn't bitching.

That sign is...weird. "Reclaim" the pool? Is it being held hostage? I mean - nobody is stopping them from jumping in - other than it won't be pleasant :D

not to excuse all the oldsplaining that you have mentioned in previous entries, but these bitch sessions all over the cult are exactly why people tend to do oldsplaining-- most olds come off thoughtless beyond belief and bitchy without finding solutions or understanding a problem's big picture. on the other hand, you're just eternally awesome and cool as hell. 😎😎😎
