Very clear

The pool is as clear now as it has ever been. The maintenance people were there. They had drained it a bit and were filling it back up. They did not say but I'm hoping that when it's full, they will test, all will be fine and volleyball will happen... tomorrow! Maybe.

The gym people and the maintenance people get a charge out of my daily visits. So they are doing some good anyway!

[personal profile] rsc gave me the idea to document the best shelves so now I have a specific walk project! I hate walking for walking sake. It bores me to tears and makes me want to sit down and never get up. But, I don't mind walking for a reason. (Don't over think it, just know it's true.) So my reason now is to discover the best shelves on all 15 wings. Today I did 6 north and 1 north. The winning shelf was this one.

I should have put my hand in the shot for perspective. Those are tiny little books - individual little real books! Sitting on a tiny little rug (mouse pad?). Very adorable.

My leg is killing me. The walk did not make it feel better or worse. But it feels as bad now as it ever has. Fuck. I don't know what to do about it other than just wait it out and see if it gets better again. I am not going back to that physical therapist.

I did dig out all my tax stuff and, it's not as complicated as I suspected. The doing of the taxes is going to be a bitch but the finding all the info... easy. Two more bits are needed and they will likely come in this week. Last year I did the Turbo Tax 'Let Us Do It' option. I'll do that again this year once I get all the goods in.

Yes, that's a mouse pad. I've seen them for sale in at least one museum store.

Did the useless PT dude give you any idea of a diagnosis or name for what this might be?

Based on some of your descriptions - it almost sounds like the awfulness that started for me in January 2019 - although yours seems to come and go (mine did not - mine came and never left for like 18 months)

I was told that mine was "piriformis syndrome" - I share this only so that you can google it and see if it matches what you are seeing? Because there are specific stretches that can help target that muscle and get it to relax and not pinch the sciatic nerve.

The other thing - if this started soonish after you moved into Timber Ridge - could it be one of the new chairs/couches that you have, is not quite right, or making things worse? Would it be worth doing experiments to see if the pain is worse/better on days when you do/don't sit on the couch or whatever other seating you use frequently? Do you have a hard chair - like a dining room chair or office chair - that you could sit on for a few days to see if that makes any difference?

Oh - I think that I do remember you saying "nerve(s) squeezed by muscles" - and that made me think of piriformis stuff!

I'm *happy* for you that you don't have this - it sucks :)

The coming and going really is weird!
