Not a great Monday but not that bad either
Feb. 5th, 2024 03:09 pmI may well sign up for a legectomy. It's a little better now but an hour ago, it was horrible. 10 out of 10 with no way to move it for less pain. I'm so over this.
And no word that the pool is open or opening soon. I really thought today was the day. Sigh.
On the up side, after I finished gathering the pertinent tax info together, I sent a State of Me email to my financial advisor explaining my current financial commitments and those I expect in the future. I did not ask him for a thing. I expected maybe an acknowledgement in a week or so.
Instead, I got a very prompt and positive reply from him. He pointed out that my RMD (required minimum distribution) will be $20,000 this year which will nicely cover the difference between my monthly income and expenditures - at least most of it. He didn't indicate any worries at all with my being able to afford the life I want.
That's a pretty excellent way to start off the week even with the bum leg and no pool.
