I have an appointment with RiteWay Heating Company in Phoenix on Friday. Well, at least one susandennis does.
My morning chromebook was on the beta OS channel and this morning it had a heart attack and ate all the emails in my inbox. There were only six and they were easily recoverable but when I got them back into the inbox, it ate them again. I could not even open them. I did a hard reboot and same thing. Fuck beta. Changed to Stable channel and did a power wash and all is cool now.
I keep 15 or so tabs open at all times. One two different chromebooks. Today after the powerwash, I went to Chrome history and it let me select all the tabs from the other chromebook and open them on this one. I have always loved chromebooks but I love them even more now. So fast and easy.
Biggie is disappointed in me. This morning in the middle of my computer issues, he wanted love and affection and attention and all he got was 'go on, go away, I'm busy'. He curled up on the sofa where he still is. I can feel the recriminations across the room.
I got to the pool this morning early enough to finish my swim before daylight. Perfect. Of course we've got nothing but clouds.
I got a note yesterday that some yarn I ordered is going to be delivered to the condo. Fuck. I checked and, yep, I plugged in the correct address but Square - the credit card app they use - plugged in the old shipping address. But, then, I got a notice from the post office that the package had been diverted. I decided that if it went to Seattle, I'd just drive over and pick it up one day this week - my calendar isn't that full. But, now it looks like it might be coming this way - no trip to Seattle needed!
I drank with the old ladies last night and it was fun and interesting. One of them, Linda, was talking about living here as opposed to living with her children. She has two. She said they are 71 and 73. So I guess she's one of the over 90's. She's a very lively over 90. She also said both her great grandchildren have smart watches for emergencies. The watches are locked down. They can use them to send texts to Mom and Dad only but they can send emoji's to grands and great grands. "So I KNOW my emoj's!" Cracked me up.
I may do a little laundry today or not. We have a very good puzzle going. I have TV to catch up on and knitting and crocheting so plenty to keep me occupied. Plus I need to make time to make nice with Biggie.
