Volleyball this morning was not a great start to the day. Sylvia, the one who refuses to cut her fingernails, speared the ball which led to a 5 minute delay of play while we got another one. Cecil - a guy who plays now and again and not that well - came over to tell me that I need to hit balls to Tina which insulted both me and Tina. Instead of just keeping my mouth shut, I snarked back at him. No one heard this but me and him. It's not the first time he's told me what to do so I should have known better than to fall for his I'm a man - a military man - and you need my guidance, routine.
A pox on both of them. Neither will be there for Saturday's game so whew. Also two of my favorite players were MIA.
I have a package coming in the snail mail. It's actually addressed to the condo (error) but has now found its way to Issaquah and tracking shows "Your item arrived at the Post Office at 5:43 am on February 28, 2024 in ISSAQUAH, WA 98027." And it's not moving. I may swing around to the local post office today and see if I can get a hint about where it's going next.
I've been listening to the baseball games on the radio. Getting them on TV will cost me $100 a month. I gave a lot of thought to just not getting TV access. Just following them on radio. But, nope. No can do. I can't stand the announcers enough. At least on TV when they get really annoying, I can hit mute and still follow the game. On radio, that's kind of not possible. So $100 a month, it is. BUT, not til tomorrow. The season ends on the 31st. If I crank up the subscription before tomorrow, I'll have to pay for an extra month in the Fall. Worth the wait.
I think I might pop into Safeway on my post office trip. I need yogurt. OH and I have returns to drop off at FedEx and UPS.
Oh! in the Timber Ridge staff newsletter yesterday, the head chef offered up tours of the kitchen! I signed up and got a slot on Monday morning at 9. I'm ridiculously jazzed about this.
Tomorrow is my eye appointment. I am going to go find that Humana Visa card ($250 to spend on eye or dental) right now and put it with my car keys so I don't forget it.
