susandennisI'm skipping the pool this morning just because I'm lazy. I used my eye appointment as an excuse but you don't need a microscope to see how lame that is. I got up at 6 and the appointment isn't til 9:30. I'm just lazy.
Myrna popped in last night on her way to the garbage chute to tell me that the puzzle has one more day. I did a bunch of it yesterday and then she did some last night so we'll finish it off today. It was challenging - we started it last Saturday. But, I liked the challenge. She doesn't. At least it's taught her that when I say 'pick the puzzle', I mean if you don't pick one, I will pick one I want! She promises she will make a choice for next time. I like the harder ones but I'm happy with any of them.
When you are working on a puzzle in the elbow, you get to see people come and go and it's a nice way to keep up with folks without having to make an effort. Have I mentioned that I'm lazy?
I have not been down in the lobby area for several days and I need to get down there today to clean the junk out of my mailbox. Oh right, it's Friday. Prime Rib. I'll go down when I go pick up dinner! This week's dinner menu was not inviting at all which was fine. I had leftovers up here plus, a larger portion than usual of my $400 meal allowance was used when my brother was here. I may well still come out at $0.
Against my better judgement a few weeks ago, I bought a swimsuit online from Walmart. It arrived via slow boat from China this week. It was too small. A couple of years ago, I did this and drove the suit to a Walmart store to return it. They gave me some kind of run around about not having the bag it was mailed to me in and refused to give me my money back. This time with little hope, I went to the website and clicked on 'return' and was quickly guided through choices which included free return via FedEx. I printed out the label they sent, and dropped it off at the FedEx store yesterday and had my refund last night. OK, Walmart! Welcome to the world of competitive retail! In fact, I also had an Amazon return that I dropped off at UPS and that refund came in 2 hours after the Walmart one.
Also, I have to say that getting to those places in Issaquah is so painless. I do appreciate that bunches.
And the eye doctor is also very handy. I guess I'd better get into the shower and get dressed.
