Popcorn wars

susandennisI puzzled and made good progress and then Mryna came out to help and we made more progress and decided we needed a break for today.
I had seen her friend go into her apartment and then come out and Myrna told me that the family of her friend had sold her car out from under her without any warning or notification. In truth, friend should not be driving, but she was gutted that they hadn't even asked her opinion. I'm not a fan of the woman but I am sad for her today. And, kind of amused that Myrna told me. "If I tell you a secret, will you keep it a secret?" Clearly not cause now all of you know.
I came back here to have popcorn for a late lunch. I got the popcorn started and then spilled unpopped corn all over everywhere and, while I was cleaning that up, I burnt the batch cooking. I persevered. I finally got an unburnt batch and got the runaway popcorn cleaned up but you know I'll be finding it for weeks to come.
Joan just came in with her Xfinity bill bitching and moaning about how horrible they are and they are charging too much. Have you called to ask them to charge you less? To remove the sports package you don't want? I called but I couldn't understand the guy. I had some sympathy because their sales pitches are confusing but then she followed up that comment with - And I don't speak Mexican. Ok, sympathy has left the building. I sent her to the IT guys. She has two kids and grown grandchildren. I could ask my grandson but he's too busy. She says she never watches TV but I've never been in her apartment when the TV was off. She probably could get by with Timber Ridge's basic TV and basic internet. And I told her that but she said when she asked the IT guys they told her to wait a month or so. How long ago was that? Oh that was before the baseball season last year.
She so loves to complain. So here I am complaining about her!
And Cheryl keeps inviting me to Tuesday soup with the group who lives near her. I don't like soup and I really don't like her clique. I just tell her no thank you.
Life in the cult is interesting. Mostly it's fine and dandy.
Julio was very impressed by our skies today. Those clouds came over and dumped some lovely rain on us shortly after the picture. The lights even flickered.
