Myrna's been talking about wanting to go see Shen Yun 2024 (Chinese dancers) since forever. She really really really wants to go. I finally looked today and they have added a Thursday afternoon show. And Spot Angel has a parking spot close enough so we can pay for and reserve a space ahead of time.

I thought about it long and hard. It's expensive and I don't want to spend that kind of money especially on something I don't really care about. So I debated but finally decided to do it. Their TV commercials show it looks pretty and colorful.

So I went down to her apartment this evening and told her they had a new afternoon show and I'd take us if she wanted.

OMG she wanted. I thought she was going to cry.

We picked out seats on her computer and ordered the tickets and I got the parking space and we are set. April 4.

"I won't be able to sleep tonight!" I'm guessing the anticipation will be as much fun for her as the show.

OHHH big news. They are shutting down the dinner restaurant tonight due to lack of staff and illness. Sounds like it might only be a week and we still have the take out option but wow. I heard one poor guy in the mail room say he had just invited his kids over for brunch tomorrow. Ugh.

After dinner tonight, I had $2 left. I stopped in the bistro and got 3 bananas and an apple. I have $0 now. So satisfying. I think I'm going to have one of those bananas with some ice cream and chocolate syrup right now.

I took my daughter to one of their shows years ago and it was every bit as colourful as advertised. It gets a bit political in a couple of spots (which annoyed me) but my daughter didn’t care one little bit. I’m sure Myrna will enjoy it. You are a good friend to take her.

I have gone twice to see Shen Yun. It is an amazing experience. Absolutely beautiful. Plan to go again.

There is some junk going around right now. A lot of my coworkers have been calling in sick. All the kids have snot running out of their noses. I caught a bit of a cold and pink eye. Hopefully I'll be better by the end of the weekend. I guess the virus season is trying one more big hurrah before winter is over.
