East coast rain
Mar. 12th, 2024 10:42 amIt is pouring down rain like it never does here but always does on the East Coast. There's a little river in the street that I can see from my window. Wild. I do like the rain so much and this is better than most.
We got a lengthy letter from the Timber Ridge director last night that said contrary to what was reported on Saturday, there is no staffing shortage. Only COVID. ? The dining room has not been fully opened since I moved here. Due to staffing shortage. Which apparently is not fixed? Me thinks the communications chain has a link broken and facts are pretty much missing. Whatever.
As someone said this morning She (the director) loves her COVID - it's such an easy excuse for all issues.
Today is housecleaning day. Not til this afternoon, though. I don't have any errands to run so I'll probably puzzle while she works.
I'm still waiting for H&R Block. I sent her a ??? note yesterday. And got no response. I'm not real happy about that. I just logged onto the their website and sent another note from there. I'd sure like to know how deep in the soup I really am.
On the up side, I have sushi for lunch. They used to get it delivered down in the bistro on Tuesdays and Sundays. Now they get a bigger variety delivered whenever. Yesterday, Myrna walked by and spied a new shipment so I went down and grabbed some. It's pretty decent for pre made stuff and what is usually $12-13 worth is only $7 here. A steal!
Julio has developed a love for the bag that houses my crochet du jour. I've got some bad news for him as soon as I post this... I need those crochet hooks.
And... unlike Catherine, no editing.
