It was very weird to have the baseball game without the crowd noises. Particularly on a sell out like last night's game, I hear them coming into the stadium area, I can hear them cheer big plays and I hear them after the game. Last night it was just me and the TV. Very weird and removed and really ok.

There is so much that I do not miss about living in my condo and more all the time. It was great but I'm over it now. Going to games was part of what made the rest better.

Last night's game did, however, make me fall in like with my TV. At first the grass on the field was neon green. I was able to fix that quickly. The changes take place as you make them, so if you select another display settings, it changes in the background so you can see if that's what you want which is excellent. So I got the neon green replaced with grass green.

Then they started the play by play and the roar of the crowd was so loud I couldn't hear what they were saying. I thought about hooking up my sound bar. Then I went and turned on the bedroom TV which had the levels correct - crowd to voices. Finally I found the right settings and wow. I have a long list - like 10+ sound settings and, while the broadcasters were talking and the crowd was yelling, I could try one, then another, then another and hear which one I liked best. There were actually a couple that worked great.

In the end, the TV turned out to really shine for baseball. I mean really. It's the perfect size, and the game looks and sounds great. It's not getting returned for sure now.

The Mariners almost always win their season opener. And then lose the rest of the season. But, last night, we lost the game... could that mean???

My birthday turned out to be one of the best I've had in a while and I've had good ones. It was just a grand day from beginning to end (since I fell asleep before they actually lost).

I decided I'm going to quit skipping morning swims. It's a habit thing and I need to get out of the habit of skipping. Once they change the pool chemicals over, I may not have the option so I need to take advantage while I do. I woke up early, well, Biggie woke me up early this morning so I got my swim in before the sun came up which is how I like to do it.

Biggie is full of beans this morning. Driving me nuts walking on the keyboard or in front of my face. So I guess Wednesday's episode was a one off. Thank goodness.

As I typed that full of beans business, he pulled a basket off the shelf to prove me right.

Today I need to go pick up his OCD prescription and maybe pop into Safeway. I'm out of bread.

He is so very handsome!

Our (AAA) home opener is today. It's a balmy 40 degrees and clouding up...
