I'm in between volleyball and Elbow Coffee.

Today's project (or actually maybe tomorrow's) is to fix the living room shelves. They are looking very messy. And that bugs me. I have a plan. Also I need something on the wall over the TV. I have a plan.

It's so nice to have baseball back. I don't even mind that our now lead broadcaster is an idiot. I have a mute button and I know how to use it. My nephew asked me if I was going to miss sitting in my fancy section with all the amenities. I told him no but the more I thought about it the more I realized, really, No. I even looked up the menus for the dinners I would have been able to dine on and, honestly, I was not thrilled. I don't know if they are not as good as last year OR if I've been been there, done that. But, I think I'm well and truly over it. I did see a could of my favorite ushers on the TV last night. I do miss the lovely people. But I like my new TV and the view out my window and the menus here.

I've always had but not used a dishwasher. I started hand washing about 20 years ago. And then I moved in here and started using the one in my kitchen here. It does a great job BUT not if you forget to turn it on. Sigh. So the dishwasher is washing. The laundry is already done.

I need to get dressed and make my coffee for Elbow Coffee and shuffle my ass out there.

My dishwasher starts but won't finish unless you lean on it. Last time I had to lean on it for an hour and 20 minutes which was not fun with my arthritis.

Although my parents had a dishwasher starting about ten years before I moved out, neither jwg had had one as an adult before we moved to Brooksby. Because it makes a fair amount of noise and there's no door between the kitchen and the living room, we generally don't run it until we're about to go to bed, unless we're going out for the evening. Every once in a while one of us will suddenly remember just as we're about to get into bed that we didn't start it. I don't think we've ever forgotten entirely.

Of course we still have to wash dishes by hand in Gloucester, so we haven't forgotten how.

Same with noise and running it before bed but... I recently discovered that mine has a timer situation so I can turn it on and set it to start in 4 hours or 3 hours or 2 hours. That's been pretty much of a game changer. When I remember.
