Just below my window is a very large terrace covered partially trellises. It's beautifully landscaped and even has outdoor heaters and a barbecue. Since I've lived here the benches and tables have been stacked in clumps. This morning, there's a team out there wiping everything down and arranging everything in conversational groups. I wonder who/how the heaters get turned on...

Across the street is a putting green that they have converted to a dog park. I think it was converted a couple of years ago but the bitching still goes on. Even Myrna is kind of grumpy about no place to putt.

I had 3 pairs of cheap but functional small binoculars. Apparently I downsized them all OR downsized two and hid the third. I have looked in every nook and cranny of this place. No joy. Fuck.

Myrna and I are off this afternoon to Shen Yun and I thought it would be fun to be able to see binocularly. I have a big set but I don't want to lug them. I think I'll just take my backup phone for Myrna. I can turn on the camera and she can use it to zoom if we want to see better. Way easier to tote.

This will be my second time back to Seattle but my first driving. At least the sun is not out so I can avoid the glare. My third time is coming up cause I've just got to make a Goodwill shopping trip and soon.

The puzzle is done. It turned out to be a perfect jigsaw - not too easy, not too challenging. Lots of people took part. Noelle lives down the hall and has never had enough nerve to try, found a piece and Jim's (across the hall) son, found two pieces. Lots of people joined in and cheered us on. It was just fun.

And now it has a new home, in the box next to the TV.

And we'll need to start a new puzzle. But, maybe not until after elbow coffee next week.

WHEW! I forgot to hit post on this one this morning and just killed the draft on the other computer. But, it's safe here so BAM.

I can see that puzzle would be very satisfying to do!

It has chunks of solidish-colours, and lots of "stripes" of colours - the wall in the background and strip of deck on the far side, the stripes of the netting, the stripes of light/dark blues in the pool and the coiled hose thing, the yellow pole - all very nice puzzle "parts". And your people are all defined and good contrast with the pool water.

Also - does your clock have a wool cozy? That's neat!
