Chinese Propaganda

susandennisMyrna and I had quite the day. It was mostly drizzly and cold. But, we got to our paid parking space without issue. Getting to the venue, however, was a different story. It was very confusing and Google was no help at all. Also it was about 4 times farther than I had expected and downhill. Google's idea of level and mine are very different. We made it to our seats with 4 minutes to spare. Our seats turned out to be great.
The show did not wow me at all but I didn't hate it. I would have been happier with half of it. Myrna liked it way more than I did but she had some notes as well. It was fine, though, really.
At intermission, I remarked that it was interesting to be surrounded by so many people who did NOT have white hair. She laughed good at that and said "I'll bet these people would be impressed to learn I'm 92. At Timber Ridge when I tell people, there's always someone in the group who says 'big deal, I'm 96!'"
When the show was over and we got outside it was cold and wet and now we had to go uphill so I got a Lyft. Myrna had never gotten a hire car before so she was excited. It took forever to connect with the driver but we did and he delivered us to our car and it was fine.
The carpool lane saved our butts coming home and we only ran into a problem stopped in traffic in the last quarter mile.
It was a fun day but I am glad to be home and glad to have it behind me.
