susandennisVolleyball was good. Elbow Coffee was dreadful. Apre coffee was fine.
Old people. Yesterday I got stuck at lunch listening to cancer and other medical stories 'well, when I had my biopsy...' Today's coffee was all 'everyone is stupid, crooked, out to get you... the government is full of idiots and all young people (except for my children/grandchildren of course) don't have the sense godgaveagoat'.
But, then, Martha saved the day. Martha and Richard don't live on our section of this floor but are grandfathered in to our elbow coffees and are mostly a great addition. Well, Martha is for sure. She always brings delicious food to share and she's way sharper and nicer than most.
And, she got a new phone. She had had the old one for 6 or 7 years so the new one is just 10000% foreign to her. It's a Samsung which is foreign to me and what a PIA! But we got her calendar widget loaded and Bixby off her side button and we made sure everything was backed up and she knew where it was. She's cautious but she's also delighted by all the fun things she can do and find out on her phone. Plus she's fun. And she's a force around here. She's on a million committees and helps out anywhere and everywhere always. And she's a great cook. I was delighted to help her out.
Last night I was feeling poor again and stressed about money. I've been spending too much. My ship that came in - the tax refund - has not come in yet. It's still saying received but not yet approved. I know it will be approved eventually but I'd rather eventually come sooner than later.
Then this morning, I discovered that not only did that one condo in my building get an offer, but another one went on the market and also got an offer already. They were listed for north of $700,000 each (they each have more upgrades than mine so I still expect mine to be listed closer to $600,000). I'll be interested to see the actual sales amount but I am thrilled that we now will have three viable, good and recent comps in the building. I'm feeling much better about condo sales.
Still poor but hopeful.
I think I need a large chunk of Time With No People. And I can have that today. And even tomorrow. So all is fine.
