Cleaning day

My house cleaner comes today. Turns out we - me, Julio and Biggie - can keep this apartment pretty decent for 6 days in a row but come the 7th, it's clear, we need a professional. So we've come to heart Tuesdays.

I got a $25 gift card to Michaels from my health insurance and it's burning a whole in my digital wallet. So... I think I'm going to Michaels today while they clean. After I get my spare mailbox keys made. At least that's the plan.

My imagination is running away with some entry decorations. I have a door for a wreath and a shelf for a display. I figured out how to crochet grass to fit the display so now I need some lawn furniture for the grass. Then, this morning, I thought up a pool, with a pool deck to crochet and it needs pool furniture. Then I might crochet a lap pool with a volleyball net... you can see how this is getting out of control fast.

And here's the shelf. I made a template of the shelf and that's what started it all. Well, no, not exactly. I found a pattern for this cool summer door wreath and it turned out to be the hatch of a rabbit hole...



So Michaels.

And before I got and when I get back Myrna will be hovering. Her flight leaves tomorrow at 1:59pm and she's counting on me to print out her boarding pass which I'm delighted to do. But, of course, cannot do until after 1:59pm today. This is a tough wait for someone who's been packed for a week. But she is very very careful not to be a pest about it.

Now I need to get dressed and maybe do some puzzling before lunch.

I love the entryway decorating. It's so much fun. It's neat that you are talented enough to make your own decorations. When I saw it, I thought that it would be a perfect place for the little mine figures, like Polly Pockets, or mini dollhouse furniture, or those tiny felt rabbits that kids play with. The possibilities are endless.

I feel like I should wave hello toward Sky Harvor to greet Myrna as her plane lands tomorrow. :)

I've been trying to remember all afternoon and it finally came to me. The toy rabbits I was thinking of are called Calico Critters. Super cute.
