Oh joy, oh rapture
Apr. 10th, 2024 11:28 amBetter than better. I left here at 8:40. The only traffic I ran into was the metered light here in Issaquah getting onto the freeway. The rest was clear sailing coming and going.
When I got to Goodwill I discovered that it was Senior Wednesday! 20% off. I saved $38.34. And found more treasures than I could possibly imagine. They filled my way too large island!
I wanted little toys and treasures and they had them by the bag full. $4 or $3 a bag!

Biggie thought most of it was his. And Julio wanted what he wanted. So I spent a while putting everything out and then picking it all up from the floor.
I bought 3 shirts and 1 cardigan. SEVEN jigsaw puzzles (big score there and they had TONS). And a small cookie jar and a light diffusing curtain for my door and a litter scoop and a little box for my earrings which have lived in a bowl on the dresser but Julio loves to scoop them out and litter them around - so box. And a big platter for the center of the island for fruit and stuff. I had a basket but Biggie thought it was a cat bed. I'm hoping he won't be as interested in the platter.
I did not go to Uwajimaya but I did go to Met Market on Mercer Island and picked up 2 banana cake squares, 1 poke bowl, 1 salad and 2 tangerines.
Easy peasy and I was back here by 11. SUCH and adventure.
And a couple of realizations. The pinched nerve issue in my leg is well and truly gone. WHEW. Google isn't too clear about how you get a pinched nerve so I don't know about prevention but I am sure delighted that it's gone.
And, I have a lot more stamina than I used it. This time last year, a walk around the whole of Goodwill, loading and unloading the car alone would have wiped me out totally. I'd never had enough energy to go grocery shopping, too. And now I'm happy to sit for a bit but not at all wiped out.
Ok, now I need to put some more stuff away and get ready to watch the Loss Du Jour.
