susandennisYesterday was busy from start to finish. This morning was volleyball and then elbow coffee. It's now noon and I have exactly 24 hours for me. Then it's on the Timber Ridge bus to Tacoma for a AAA Tacoma Rainers basebll game.
Last night, Frank came and picked me up and we went to the Mariners game. It was great fun. Interesting to be back in the park again and see what has changed and what has not. The game was good. We won but only really because we played only marginally better than the cubs. Our seats were great but man, was it cold and windy. I wore almost enough clothes to keep warm. It was quite luxurious to be picked up and driven home. All in all a wonderful evening. But, man, was it late when I got home!
While trying to look interested during Elbow Coffee, I remembered that it was still last week's menu. They had this very delicious honey walnut chicken with rice and coleslaw so I ordered some for lunch and just at it. A snack for dinner will be plenty. I have good TV to watch and a couple of house todo's and a puzzle in the elbow if I want.
Life is lovely.
oops, forgot to Post! Now I can add the latest bon mots...
Martha Lim is an inmate here and has been for a fair number of years with her husband, Richard (who plays volleyball with me). They each do massive volunteering around here. Anything big going on and one or the other of them is involved to the hilt. Martha got a new phone and asked me last week to help her with a couple of things. This morning, before our elbow meeting, she asked me a couple of more things and then said she was going to take her big questions to the Teens Who Care Tech Saturday morning session. I just got an email from her about something else and she said " "Teens Who Care" was good and not so good. I learned something about removing unnecessary apps from my phone but lost a couple of items off my phone. Don't tell anyone, but you are much better support. I'll be seeing you."
I can hardly imagine a better compliment. Especially from Martha.
The todo items are all done except the dishwasher. It needs emptying so I'm going to do that now and then put my asson the couch with my toes pointing up.
